Ce mois-ci le thème pour la photo du mois est la nostalgie!Ah mais au fait c’est quoi la nostalgie vraiment? Mélancolie mélangée a de la tristesse pour un endroit ou des personnes? Ou bien mal du pays? Vous m’auriez demande de quoi j’étais nostalgique il y a quelques mois et bien je vous aurez dit le Japon sans hésiter et bien maintenant je dois avouer ce qui me rend nostalgique quand je regarde mes photos ce sont les paysages du Pacifique Nord Ouest et surtout ces vues de mer et de montagne aussi proche! Ma photo est donc une vue prise d’un ferry avec le Puget Sound et le majestueux Mt Rainier.
This month the theme for the picture of the month is nostalgia. So what is this feeling exactly?A bittersweet longing for things, people, or situations of the past? Being homesick?If you had asked me what I was longing for a couple month ago, I would have answered right away: Japan, now that we are in Japan, what I miss among many other things, is the landscape of the Pacific North West and especially the sea and the mountains so close from each other. So my picture this time is a landscape taken for a ferry, of Puget Sound and Mt Rainier.

Il n’est pas midi a Paris comme le veut la tradition de la photo du 15 mais ca l’est ici au Japon! Voici la photo du mois pour septembre avec pour theme:”Autour du livre”. Quand les Japonais ne jouent pas avec leurs telephones portables dans le train ou dans la rue et bien ils lisent que ce soit des mangas, des romans, des revues ou des journaux!Impressionant!
It’s not noon in Paris yet as the tradition of the picture of the month requires but it’s in Japan! September’s theme is : Books. Japanese are reading a lot of books, magazines and other publications when they don’t have their nose in their cell phone. It’s quite impressive to see people reading when in line, standing in the train, at a cafe…
L’image vient de notre magasin local ou l’on peut louer des dvds mais aussi acheter des livres et mangas d’occasion. Ici le manga c’est 1.85 euros la piece!
The picture here was taken at our local store where you can rent dvds but also buy second-hand books and manga. Here they are sold for $2.5 a piece.
